Through the Imagine Uganda Youth Campaign, the youth voiced their views about the past, present and future of this country that they would want compiled into a youth vision 2062 which will be placed in the parliament as a monument for policy makers to make reference as they legislate and plan for the youth of this country.

Project activities

Through the discussions that were organized, the youth made several demands including their participation in the decision making processes and communities 50 years from now.

They acknowledged that although the youth’s movement has greatly contributed to the development processes of this country, it was losing steam yet there is a lot it still had to do

They also reflected on their past achievements and discussed next steps to make the youth’s movement vibrant.

In addition, they proposed mentoring the younger generationand encouraging them to join the youth’s movement as the country celebrated 50 years of Independence for continuity purposes.

Improving activism as a response mechanism to social injustices, strengthening the linkage with the grass root youth as well as improving information sharing with the youth at all levels including the women at the grass root levels were also proposed during the discussions.
